Fred Kauser, Deputy Chief

Frederick
Kauser became a full-time firefighter & paramedic with the Division of Fire
in November 1985 and worked his way through the ranks to become Deputy Fire
Chief in June 2003. He has an Associates degree in Fire Science from Columbus
State, a bachelors degree in Fire Science form the University of Cincinnati,
and is pursuing graduate work at The Ohio State University.
Deputy Chief Kauser assists the Fire Chief in planning, organizing, and administration
of the Fire Division. He works with the daily shift commander (Battalion Chief),
planning, human resource management, and professional development. He also
serves as the Fire Division hazardous materials coordinator for regional planning
and response.
He and his wife
Rosemari, Gahanna residents, have five children.
