Steve has been with the Fire Division since August 1991. He was first assigned to the Mill Street station as a firefighter/paramedic. He has been in the fire service since 1978, retiring from the Harrison Township Fire Department in 1998. He is an ACLS and BLS instructor with the American Heart Association.
In April 2002, he was assigned to be the 3-unit investigator for the department. In September 2003, he was assigned full-time to the Fire Inspection Bureau as an Inspector, Investigator, and Juvenile Fire-Setter Educator. There are more than 1,200 businesses to inspect in Gahanna and Mifflin Township.

Steve’s Tip - Remember to have a smoke detector on every level of your home—one outside each bedroom—and to change the battery every 6 months when Daylight Savings Time changes.
